9 BLOGGERS WHO WORE BLACK BEST THIS WEEK

TRENDS | September 5, 2025 | By

Wearing all black can sometimes be perceived as looking dark, gothic, or just depressing. Being a New Yorker however, you get used to wearing the color because it’s not only the easiest color to wear, but it can be pretty versatile with any aspect of your wardrobe.

Wearing all black is almost a statement in itself. When you wear all black you instantly feel slimmer and more sophisticated. The simplest of outfits automatically feels a bit more “dressy”. Of course you should always mix it up from time to time and wear some color or even white, but the ladies shown below exemplify the many different styles and ways to wear the best color or non-color we should say.

POLAND: Katarzyna Konderak from Krakow a fashion blogger and model shows off a sporty yet sexy outfit with jogging shorts, midriff top and leather slip-ons. Her look is the perfect casual yet stylish and fun outfit.

We love that this dress is pretty sexy yet only with the leg, while pretty much the rest of her body is covered. Her look is sexy yet sophisticated with her simple jewelry and handbag.

UKRAINE: Kristina Magdalina, a model and blogger shows off her all black outfit of leather fringe skirt and booties for an avante guarde yet bohemian look.

AUSTRALIA: Lindsey Denham from http://andanythingwhite.com shows off an easy to wear outfit combining a simple black T with some distressed black denim. Adding a stiletto heel adds just the right amount of dressy to this otherwise chic yet grungy outfit.

GERMANY: Nina from Berlin is a personal shopper and blogger at Hello Shopping. Her outfit is classic, sexy and chic all at the same time. The blazer with leather trim adds just enough edge to her otherwise simple black outfit, and the heels step her style up a notch for a dressier look.

BRAZIL: Alana Ruas from Rio De Janeiro, is both a fashion designer and blogger at http://www.alanaruas.com/. Being that she lives somewhere still quite hot for this time of year is reflected in her boho chic black midriff and maxi skirt. We love the way she has accessorized her look even further with bohemian inspired clutch and jewelry.

PORTUGAL: Marie Roget, an artist and blogger from http://marieroget.blogspot.pt/ is perfection with her unique wrap skirt and simple black tank. Her look is so simple yet so different purely by the design of her skirt and complimentary sandals.

Bohemian around the world

TRENDS | July 20, 2025 | By

IMG_4225

The Bohemian trend has been around for a while now and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. The “hippy”‘look has evolved from the stereotypical free-spirited peasant blouse to a modernized version ranging from a darker color palate to more tailored jumpsuits.

The recent reemergence of the 70’s trend definitely plays a role in the continuing boho chic look, but girls all around the world have adapted their own style based on what works best for their lifestyle and body type.

Considering that these silhouette are extremely easy to pull off no matter your size, this trend is slowly becoming something more than a trend but almost an entire genre in itself. Just like “grunge” or “street” looks have been classified as an overall way of dressing rather than a trend, bohemian chic has been in the fashion eye for more than a decade.

It makes us wonder whether this type of style will remain a core way of dressing for yet another decade. Lookbook certainnately feels this way. Having featured bohemian as one of the top styles to choose from in their filtering system, it just goes to show that so many women around the world classify their style as bohemian that lookbook has devoted an entire category to this specific genre.

What do you guys think? Is this trend going to be around for the long term or is it on its way out?

Here are the top ten looks seen around the globe over the weekend of some girls who have either modernized or embraced the original boho chic look.

GERMANY: STRYLE TZ from Hamburg wearing the perfect swimsuit cover up that’s just the right amount of bohemian yet casual.

UNITED STATES: Stardust Bohemian, a 23 year old from Hawaii but residing in Seattle is both a fashion designer of bohemian style as well as a style blogger. With the only blogger with “bohemian” in her actual website, this girl is probably the expert in anything boho.

TOP 5 SUMMER TRENDS FROM VOGUE AROUND THE WORLD

TRENDS | July 9, 2025 | By

Vogue France - Pop Art

Everyone knows that Vogue is basically the “fashion bible”. Published in over 18 countries, the globally read magazine also has their own e-commerce sites as well. Now with the internet being such a resource for discovering trends all around the world, we thought it would be interesting to take a look at the different trends from a global standpoint. A Vogue global standpoint.

Considering there are 18 different countries to look at, we decided to just focus (for this particular post) on the top 3 countries with cities that are rated as “fashion capitals”. Vogue US - for New York, Vogue Paris - Paris, and Vogue Italia - Milan. These three countries have all been ranked at one time or another the Fashion Capital of the World.

The way we looked at Summer 2015 trends from a Global Garbs perspective was to narrow the trends down to the top 5 different from country to country. There were some obvious trends that Vogue highlighted in each country such as Denim (boring), or Lace (been there done that). So we decided to focus on the top 5 from each country that we felt were the most unique from each country.

Both Italy and Paris have always seemed to be a step ahead of the US in terms of actually adopting trends. Although Vogue USA may be showing some of the same trends as the European editions, the reality is that there are only a few parts of the country specifically in the USA that will adopt these trends for the current season. The trickle down effect will eventually happen, but in the early stages of a trend it could take a while until the average person is seen walking down the street…

Starting with Vogue USA…

The top 5 (different) trends for the season are Gingham, Fringe, New Festival, Flower Power, and Evening Midriff. We have obviously seen all of these trends before, but each season there is always a bit of a modern twist. For example, flower power is a combination of the floral trend combined with a seventies appeal. The 70’s have been seen all over the runway, but this summer trend focuses down to a specific seventies trend, which are large flowers or “flower power”.

#1 GINGHAM

#2 FRINGE

# 3 NEW FESTIVAL

# 4 FLOWER POWER

#5 EVENING MIDRIFF

Onto Vogue Italia…

Italians have always been known to have an amazing sense of style. Long before the internet, you could order an Italian Vogue via subscription but it would cost about $10 an issue to be delivered to the US. Here are the top 5 (different) trends from Italian Vogue: 70’s style, Marsala, Pockets, Light Blue, and White. It’s interesting that out of the top trends, Emmanuelle Alt chose 3 different colors as an actual trend.

# 1 70’s STYLE

#2 MARSALA

#3 POCKETS

#4 LIGHT BLUE

#5 WHITE

And finally..Vogue Paris

Paris, France in our eyes will always remain the fashion capital of the world. Being that they are the originator of haute couture, there really is no competing with the historical impact that France has had on the world of fashion. Many designers all around the world still find inspiration from the Paris couture shows, so it would make sense that the rest of the world would find inspiration from a french magazine. Here are the top 5 trends from the original fashion capital of the world.

#1 BALLERINA

Vogue France -Ballerina

# 2 POP ART

TRENDS | July 3, 2025 | By

styledumonde

In honor of the 4th of July celebration here in the USA, we’ve compiled a few red, white, and blue looks from all across the country. It’s interesting to see the differences just within the United States of trends worn from state to state.

Red, white and blue for the 4th of July and beyond can make a statement regardless of whether you’re trying to be patriotic. The contrast between the blue and red hues work really well together, and are always a classic American look. One tends to think of Ralph Lauren, who is the epitome of All-American fashion. The looks below cover a range of classic and trendy outfits, but the overall theme is that these women have style and aren’t afraid to wear color, whether it be head-to-toe or a pop of color in their accessories.

Whether you’re headed to a BBQ or just want some American style inspiration, check out some of our favorite looks below.

KNOTTED TREND: 5 OF THE BEST INSTRAGRAMS

TRENDS | June 15, 2025 | By

The knotted trend has been seen lately worn in a modern way. Remember back in the day when this trend was worn only as a sleeveless blouse in which the ties were actually designed to be tied? Those days are over. Now, bloggers have been seen styling their blouse by unbuttoning the last few buttons and creating your own tie, or the design actually gives the illusion that you have an extra garment wrapped around your waist. There are even two piece matching ensembles that have been popping up just like Jasmine Howell’s look below from Friend in Fashion.

With the whole crop top trend going on right now, its no surprise that tying up your blouse to create the cropped effect has been re-emerging. The main thing to remember with this particular look is to keep it simple and natural.

Here are five inspiring looks around the world from style bloggers’ Instagram posts showing us that this trend can be chic and modern as opposed to cheesy and un-flattering.
